Women’s Tennis Prepares Ohio Valley Regional

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - For the second time in three years, the University of Memphis will serve as host of the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships, which will be held at The Racquet Club of Memphis, Oct. 18-22. Admission is free to the event.

A total of 88 singles players and 44 doubles teams will vie for the chance to advance to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Nov. 7-10, at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.

The qualifying draws for singles and doubles will take place Friday beginning at 8 a.m. while the main draws will start Saturday. Semifinal matches in singles begin at 3 p.m. (CT) Monday while the final is slated for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. In doubles, semifinal action takes place Monday at 6:30 p.m. with the championship match set for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Back draws for doubles are set to begin Saturday at 5:30 p.m. while singles start Sunday at 11 a.m.
