Women’s Tennis Ends Weekend with 7-0 Loss

INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler women's tennis team ended a busy weekend with a 7-0 loss to Illinois State on Sunday morning. Action at the Butler Bubble began at 10 a.m.

All three double teams were swept 6-0 with Stephanie McLoughlin and Kailey Eaton representing the 'Dogs at No. 1, Grace Hyde and Angelina Qin playing at No. 2, and the tandem of Konstantina Adami and Jocelyn Koester participating at No. 3.

The top four single matches of the day pushed ISU to a 7-0 win as McLoughlin, Adami, Eaton and Hyde were all defeated in straight sets. McLoughlin almost made it to a third set, but she was defeated 6-3, 7-6 in the closest match of the day.

Adami lost 6-2, 6-1 and Eaton fell 6-1, 6-0. Hyde was knocked down 6-1, 6-2 and the bottom of the lineup featured an 8-3 loss for Qin at No. 5 Singles and an 8-4 setback for Koester at No. 6.
