Bulldogs Win Third Straight with 6-1 Decision Over Evansville Saturday

Butler improved to 8-7 on the spring season with a 6-1 win over in-state rival Evansville Saturday afternoon at the Butler Bubble in Indianapolis. Junior Tayo Bailey continued her hot play with a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 2 singles spot and freshman Michelle Hawes fought back for a three-set win at No. 3 singles in the closest match of the day.

Shaden Dowiatt and Kim Jenson also posted singles wins for Butler, which also swept the doubles point. Butler won matches at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles by default. Saturday's win was Butler's third in a row.

The Bulldogs return to action Tuesday, hosting Xavier at 3 p.m. in the Butler Bubble in Indianapolis.
