Youngstown State Gives Butler First Horizon League Loss

Visiting Youngstown State used the depth at the bottom of its line-up to secure a 5-2 Horizon League win over host Butler Saturday morning at the Butler Bubble in Indianapolis. Seniors Alaina Griffin and Tayo Bailey won their matches at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, but the Penguins won the final four singles matches and the last two doubles matches for the victory. The loss was Butler's first in conference play, falling to 3-11 overall and 3-1 in Horizon League competition.

The Bulldogs continue Horizon League action at home Sunday, playing host to Cleveland State at 10 a.m.
