Evansville, Ind. - Freshman Natali Jaimes and sophomore Valerie Vinluan rolled to singles titles and two Butler doubles teams finished on top as the Bulldogs put together an impressive performance in their first action of the year at the Aces Fall Classic over the weekend.

Jaimes put together a commanding performance in the "A" Flight singles bracket, winning four straight matches in straight sets to earn the top singles honor. Vinluan, meanwhile, scored three consecutive two-set victories in the "D" Flight to earn the top spot in that bracket.

Freshman Gabriella Bobrowski and sophomore Becky Jenkins each scored three-straight wins in the "C" Flight to advance to face each other in the title match but chose instead to forgo the bout.

Senior Tiffany McLoughlin also advanced to the title bout of the "B" Flight singles bracket, scoring a pair of two-set wins before falling in the championship round.

Sophomore Molly Casperson rebounded nicely from an opening-match defeat, reeling off back-to-back consolation wins before claiming an 8-4 decision in the Back Draw Final.

Casperson and Jenkins rolled to the "B" Flight doubles title. After disposing of teams from Austin Peay and Southern Indiana in 8-1 and 8-0 matches, respectively, the tandem held off the Evansville duo of Kate Chybowski and Pin Sorenson in an 8-6 match.

Jaimes and Bobrowski teamed up for another title in the "C" Flight doubles competition, topping teams from Western Kentucky and Evansville before ousting a pair from Morehead State in an 8-5 match.

The Bulldogs continue their fall season this weekend when they head to the Ball State Invitational on Friday (Sept. 28).
