HOME SWEET HOME: The Butler men's tennis team will host IUPUI and Bradley on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Bulldogs (2-5) will take on the Jaguars at 9 a.m. and will face the Braves at 1 p.m. in the Butler Bubble.

BULLDOGS FALL TO DEPAUL: Butler lost to DePaul 4-1 on Friday (Feb. 1) at DePaul's Hyde Park. Butler's only point game in doubles action, as the tandem of Jimmy Borendame and Brandon Currie defeated the Blue Demon's Andy Michael and Robert Knrek 9-8 (5) and the duo of Abel Contreras and Peter Voelz knocked off Sam Davidson and David Pitsch 8-6. DePaul picked up the first four wins in singles action to take the victory.

OFF TO A STRONG START: The Bulldogs began Horizon League play on a good note, by capturing a 7-0 triumph over UIC on Saturday (Feb. 2). In No. 1 doubles, Jimmy Borendame and Brandon Currie won 8-3, while in No. 2 doubles Peter Voelz and Josh Rey won 8-6. Freshmen Adam Bordow and Michael Weaver each picked up their second doubles win of the season by winning 8-5 in No. 3 doubles.

SINGLED OUT: Butler also swept the Flames in doubles action, as Jimmy Borendame, Brandon Currie, Josh Rey, Peter Voelz, Aubrey Annan and Abel Contreras all accounted for victories.

TRAVELING TEAM: The Butler women's team continues their four-match stint on the road this week by traveling to Indiana and Miami (Ohio). The Bulldogs (0-1) will face the Hoosiers on Saturday (Feb. 9) at 3 p.m. and will take on the RedHawks on Sunday (Feb. 10) at 1 p.m.

BALL STATE OUSTS BULLDOGS: Ball State defeated the Bulldogs in their spring season-opener, 6-1, on Jan. 29. The Cardinals swept Butler in doubles action and captured five of the six victories in singles play.

MAGNIFICENT MOLLY: Senior Molly Figel posted the only win for the Bulldogs at Ball State. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native defeated the Cardinals' Abigail Hodge 6-3, 6-4 in No. 3 singles. With the win, she improved her overall singles record to 2-2.
