As the Hornets' starting setter both years, she went on to tally the top-two single-season assist totals in school history, posting 1,122 in 2004 before notching 1,068 in 2005. Her 285 digs in 2004 also rank as the sixth-most all-time.

Jones' performance both on the court and in the classroom garnered her Academic All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference honors in 2004 and 2005. She also served as the Delaware State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President, was a nominee for NCAA Academic Excellence and Service Award and was a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

Before moving to Delaware State, Jones spent two seasons at Indian River Community College, where she was tabbed to the all-conference freshman team in 2002 and all-conference second team in 2003. She was also named to the Phi Theta Kappa All-State Academic Team and was a nominee for the Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Academic Team.
