Blake Beemer has announced the Butler Baseball fall schedule. BU will play a four-game slate in preparation for the 2027 season.
The Bulldogs open the fall with a trip to Dayton, Ohio to take on Wright State on Saturday, Oct. 3. BU will then return to Bulldog Park on Sunday, Oct. 11 when they face Harper College.
The following week, BU will head north to play Ball State in Muncie on Sunday, Oct. 18. The Bulldogs will wrap up the fall with a home contest against UIC on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Beemer enters his fifth season in charge at Butler. He and his staff retain 20 Bulldogs from a year ago who will be joined by an exciting group of newcomers.
Matthew Rhoades returns to suit up for the Bulldogs in 2027. Rhoades started every game at first base for BU last year. The slugger clubbed a team-high 19 home runs and 43 RBIs, while batting .271 and reaching base at a .367 clip. Rhoades is joined by
Charlie Schebler, who hit a team-best .329 in 2026.
Max Winders and
Grayson Bradberry both return to anchor Butler's pitching staff. Winders led the Bulldogs in ERA a season ago, posting a 4.48 mark. Bradberry, meanwhile, pitched valuable innings as a freshman, striking out 58 batters in 57.2 innings.
The full 2027 schedule will be announced at a later date.
